Participant area and our NDIS stories

Participant satisfaction survey

Customer satisfaction surveys help us to understand our customer's needs and wants. They also allow us to track customer satisfaction over time to see if our company is making improvements. Additionally, customer satisfaction surveys can help us identify areas where our company needs to change. We thank all our participants for their feedback and suggestions.

Stories from our NDIS Participants

We are proud to partner with Victorian-based NDIS participants and support them to get the most out of life. The NDIS participants we work with seek to reach goals that are important to them. Whether living in their own home for the first time or accessing Core and Capacity Building supports to improve their lives. These are some of their stories.

Due to privacy and security reasons, we do not publish the identification details of our participants or staff members.

J. R. development beyond anyone’s expectations.

J.R. lives with Autism and other Mental Health disabilities. J.R. arrived to us with a complicated caseload. With the support of their guardian, Hand in Hand VIC was able to secure the appropriate SDA and SIL funding and arranged appropriately skilled Core and C.B. providers to support their disability needs and assure the quality of life this young individual deserves. J.R. is enjoying a supported, independent life. J.R. is learning life skills, which J.R. is putting to good use daily. Seeing this young individual develop beyond anyone's expectations is our joy!

T. W. is a gentle individual with decades in the public health care system.

T.W. lives with Schizophrenia and other mental and physical health disabilities. Hand in Hand VIC helped T.W. secure their rental apartment and implemented Core funded provider to assist the participant's everyday needs. T.W's Hand in Hand VIC Support Coordinator also assisted them in creating and securing ILO funding to keep they dream alive. We wish the best for T.W., and the Hand in Hand VIC team is exceptionally proud to be part of this housing dream come true.

V. M. is an energetic and profoundly motivated individual.

V.M. lives with Sjogen's Syndrome, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, and other physical disabilities. V.M.'s spirit over-performs their physical abilities from time to time, and due to an unfortunate change of life circumstances, V.M. had to lean on Hand in Hand VIC Support Coordination to find the best housing option. V.M. was the driving force throughout the relocation process, and our Hand in Hand VIC support successfully negotiated relocation and secured the required ILO NDIS funding to ensure their everyday needs were continually met. We look forward to the next chapter of our story together.

M.C. a challenging case for some.

M.C.was referred to Hand in Hand VIC by the Office of the Public Advocate, Advocacy program. M.C. lives with Intellectual disability, Somatisation disorder, Anxiety, depression, and reduced vision. Hand in Hand, VIC assisted M.C. in finding their best Disability housing location and core provider and secured appropriate funding to meet M.C.'s everyday SIL needs. Quality of care and care hours delivery was essential for this participant, and Hand in Hand VIC successfully negotiated all parts of NDIS care contracts. Due to M.C.'s disabilities, their Hand in Hand VIC support coordinator assists with both Medicare and NDIS-funded care needs. After the participant completed the Advocacy program, Hand in Hand VIC continued to help them live with minimal representation and supports the participant's choice and control in their everyday life.

J.K. lives with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, and panic disorder. As a formal professional, J.K. has an excellent knowledge of systems and contracted Hand in Hand VIC to guide them through the NDIS scheme. J.K. has leaned on Hand in Hand VIC to find Core and Capacity Building providers and represent J.K. in implementing their NDIS plan. J.K. found a highly supportive and knowledgeable Support Coordinator with whom they are comfortable with. Hand in Hand VIC has also assisted J.K. in successfully applying for assisting animal funding through the NDIS. J.K.'s assisting dog is with them during the day and helps them manage the participant's everyday symptoms.
